Private Instruction
The core of our training is one-on-one coaching tailored to the specific needs of the player, ensuring maximum focus and rapid progress. We also offer semi-private lessons for 2 players of similar skill levels.
Clinics
For elite, intermediate, and beginning junior players, Bancroft Squash offers weekly clinics that combine coach-led technical training with structured, tournament-level match play. Sessions are designed to build disciplined habits through high-repetition drills, while fostering a cooperative and competitive training environment among peers.
Most clinics are held at New Balance SquashBusters in nearby Lawrence, Massachusetts—a premier, fully equipped 8-court facility that opened in 2024 and provides an outstanding setting for high-performance junior development.
During the academic year, our clinic schedule is as follows:
Beginner Clinic (up to 3.5): Saturdays, 3–430pm
Intermediate Clinic (3.5–4.5): Sundays, 1–230pm
Elite Clinic (4.5 and above): Sundays, 230–4pm
To maintain a high-quality training experience, we intentionally structure sessions so that there is an average of no more than two junior players per court (with coaches and select adult players also participating on court). Players are asked to confirm attendance no later than 12pm on the preceding Friday; due to consistently strong demand and limited court capacity, spaces are typically allocated based on order of confirmation.
To further elevate the level of play, the Elite Clinic regularly includes invited PSA professionals, post-college, and current college players, ensuring that our strongest juniors are consistently exposed to fast-paced, high-level match conditions.
During the summer months, clinic scheduling is more flexible and determined week-to-week. Sessions are typically held on weekday late afternoons or evenings, as well as on weekends, and are also primarily based at SQB in Lawrence, MA.
Tournament Coaching
To support our players in achieving their best possible tournament performances, Bancroft coaches provide match coaching at the highest levels of US junior squash.
Our team regularly travels to major national events, including the US Junior Open, US Junior Championships, all Junior Championship Tour (JCT) events, and US Silver and Bronze Nationals. We also attend selected Gold, Silver, and Bronze tournaments throughout the year based on player participation and competitive significance.
During tournaments, our coaching goes beyond match-day presence. We work closely with players on match strategy, between-game adjustments, opponent analysis, and post-match feedback—helping translate training into competitive results.
For events we are unable to attend in person, our coaches remain available for remote match coaching, including pre-match planning and post-match review.
Year-Round Training
Private lessons and other tailored programs to fit school schedules and enhance competitive skills.
Flexible Scheduling
Understanding the busy lives of our players, we offer training sessions throughout the day, including weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings, as well as weekends. This flexibility ensures that our players can train at times that best fit their and their families’ schedules. Our coaching team resides locally in the Andover area.
No Membership or Program Fees
Whether you train with us multiple times a week, from time to time, or are just exploring, you pay only for the actual lessons and clinics you do with us. We charge no annual or monthly membership fees or program fees.
