Meet Our Team
Our coaching team played US college squash at its highest levels and boasts extensive junior coaching experience in the US and Egypt. Coaches Tolba and El Toukhy are still active PSA professionals. Residing locally in the Andover area, they bring passion and expertise to our training programs and are dedicated to nurturing and developing the potential of each junior player.

Aly Tolba

Resuming his PSA career in 2024, with Bancroft Squash as his principal training and coaching base.

Was previously a full-time coach at 360 Squash Academy in Boston, where he gave private lessons and conducted clinics and other training programs at Belmont Hill and Deerfield Academy. Served as a regular private coach for a total of 14 JCT-level junior players, of which:
- 7 attained a top 5 ranking in their respective US Squash divisions.
- 3 boys achieved US Squash ratings of 6.0+; 4 girls reached 5.3+.
- 2 players represented the USA at the British Junior Open.

Prior to 360, trained several top Egyptian junior players at the Alexandria Sporting Club, including two British Junior Open winners and 4 BJO quarterfinalists.

Seven junior US and Egyptian players regularly trained by Tolba have been recruited to play varsity squash at top US universities including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and UVA.

- Played at the number 2 position during final year at Trinity.
- Ranked among the top 10 college players in the United States.

- Several PSA top 10 ranked women players

- Two players recruited to play US college varsity squash, at Cornell and Amherst

Was a 4-year member of Trinity College men’s varsity squash team:
- Served as team captain in his senior year.
- Played as high as number 4 on the men’s varsity team ladder.
- Member of the CSA national runner-up teams in 2022 and 2023.
- CSA college career record of 34-14.

Paul Assaiante
Honorary Chairman

Retired in 2023 after a 30-year tenure as head coach of the Trinity College men's varsity squash team.

Currently serves as a valuable coaching, mentorship, and networking resource for Bancroft Squash.

Led the Trinity men's team to a total of 17 national championships, plus 4 national runner-ups.

From 1998-2012, Assaiante's Trinity teams won 252 consecutive matches and 13 nationals championships, the longest winning streak in college sports history.

Previously served as the Ganek Family US Squash Head National Coach.

Elected to the Halls of Fame of US Squash and the College Squash Association.

Owns an impressive US college squash "coaching tree", with former Trinity varsity players highly represented across the coaching ranks of leading US college squash programs.

Is a professional speaker on topics such as embracing fears, negotiating change, and building strong and diverse teams; authored "Run to the Roar: Coaching to Overcome Fear", a reflection on leadership and mentoring.

Retired in 2022 after a 30-year career in investment management and capital markets.

Also retired in 2024 after a 10-year “career” as a junior squash parent - accumulated deep expertise in planning tournament schedules, comparing squash gear online, learning about recruitment, and forgetting to pack things for trips.

Received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MIT.

Born and raised in Michigan. Lived in Boston during and after college for 10 years, then in China for 22 years, before returning to Boston in 2016.
